Krug

The Agency wanted a dramatic one shot film for Krug that developed their existing stills campaign.

The idea was that if it is not Krug champagne, then it isn’t worth drinking. So all we see is the champagne being thrown contemptuously away.

The problem – the action of throwing a glass of champagne, in reality, only takes 1/4 to 1/2 second – difficult to build a film round that.

The solution – ultra slow motion. We shot at 1200fps, (25fps being live action). Skippy at MPC slowed our material down a further 250+fps in Flame. So what you see is the equivalent to 1500fps.

1/4sec action in reality was slowed down so that it has a screen time of 30+ secs.

PC World – Tiger

We were delighted to get our hands on (not literally) Rani for this PC World shoot. The result is pretty spectacular. All crew left with limbs intact.

Boudicca

In order to animate the dress growing and evolving around the mannequin Typhoon shot everything in-camera and in reverse.
Boudicca built the “dress” around the mannequin and then literally cut it back until we finally arrived back at the start – the bare naked mannequin.

The film was shot on the F23 camera capturing live action sequences using a motion control rig. This enabled us to move the camera along a constructed 21’ diameter circle of track and shoot multiple-passes of the dress growing around the bare mannequin. www.platform13.com
